Our goal as church planters has been to train and equip leaders so that they can serve and lead others in the church. Thankfully, this takes place continually in The Urban Ministry Institutes, when hundreds of men and women are studying at TUMI satellites throughout the United States and in several countries abroad.
This past fall, Marisol Munguia had the opportunity to take a course from an organization called APEN—Alianza Pro Evangelizacion del Nino, also known as Child Evangelism Fellowship in English. Marisol completed a three month class that focuses on how to teach children. Marisol blossomed during this course and thoroughly enjoyed what she was learning. The course requirements were rigorous, as Marisol had weekly assignments and Scripture memorization that she often completed late at night, after working all day and caring for her four children.
She, along with thirty three others, graduated in a beautiful ceremony one Saturday afternoon. She is pictured here with her husband Memo, her children and her sisters and some of their children.
Please pray for Marisol as she teaches the children in our church. She has been doing a great job of incorporating the material she has learned and we desire to see her grow more in her passion of teaching children about the Gospel of Jesus.
