Kindergarten Teacher at Los Angeles Christian School
I was born and raised in the state of Georgia, so the west coast is a very new experience for me! Even though my dad, mom, and younger brother all live in my hometown of Leesburg, GA, I left home after high school to go to college at the one and only University of Georgia (GO DAWGS)! During my time in college, the Lord gave me many opportunities to minister in inner-city Athens & Atlanta. After finishing my degree in Early Childhood Education, I stayed in Athens to teach for the next 3 years--the first year in 2nd grade and the next 2 years in Pre-K. Over the last year, the Lord continued to grow my passion for serving full-time in the inner-city. Eventually the Lord lead me to World Impact in Los Angeles, and I feel so blessed to finally be serving where I am called!
I am currently in my 5th year at World Impact. So crazy how fast time is flying! This year I have a class of 10 (5 girls and 10 boys). They are extremely smart, strong leaders. Pray for wisdom for me to allow them to grow and use their gifts without stifling them. Also pray for them to have peace among their classmates. We continue to pray for unreached peope groups each month and learn about the fruits of Spirit in addition to our other basic subject areas.
I am still involved in our Jefferson Church plant. Our church has dwindled in numbers since our original church planters pulled out a year ago, so pray for wisdom, discernment, and vision for the future of our church. We are thankful for the faithful families who continue to come and serve each week!
